|Tiffany Crosswhite, a native of Lake Oswego, Oregon is a former Professional Figure Skater and Competitive Figure Skating Coach. Tiffany’s passion for skating began over 25 years ago when her mother took her to see the Ice Capades. As a young child she was mesmerized by the lights, music and skating and dreamed one day she would perform on such a stage. Tiffany’s childhood dream became reality when she toured with Ice Capades in 1996-1997 and Disney on Ice in 1997-1998. In 1999-2000 she obtained the principle role of the “Wicked Step-sister” in Cinderella on Ice. After retiring from the show circuit Tiffany began coaching competitive skating. At that time she began looking for an off ice training program for her young athletes. Since most of Tiffany’s students ranged from 6-13 years of age she wanted a training program that would be gentle enough to not harm a growing body, but still improve muscle strength and flexibility. As a Christmas gift Tiffany received a gift certificate to a local Pilates studio from her Mother, Barbara.  It turned out to be the gift that would change her life. After a great deal of her own studying, Tiffany began teaching her skaters Pilates. Tiffany quickly found Pilates to be the best all around training program for both herself and her young athletes.
During the summer of 2006 Tiffany and her family relocated from Oregon to Utah. Tiffany viewed her move to Utah not only as a fresh start in life but an opportunity to grow a new business. She began teaching family and friends out of her house but quickly out grew the tiny spare bedroom. In March of 2007 she opened Poise & Strength Pilates Studio. Tiffany’s goal is to introduce Pilates to as many people possible and carry on Joseph Pilates’s legacy of contrology as it was intended. Tiffany received her Pilates certification through Core Dynamics.
In 2010 Tiffany started her own teacher training certification, Poise & Strength Pilates Teacher Training. PSPTT offers a 500 hour Certification including Mat, Reformer, Trapeze Chair and Pilates Barre. To learn more about Tiffany’s certification please contact her at 801.647.9484

|At age 10, Heather Aagard knew she wanted to become a professional ballet dancer. At age 19, she received an opportunity to pursue her dream: the Joffrey Ballet offered her a contract. For eight years Heather danced with the Joffrey, performing in Chicago at their home theatre, and touring throughout the US. She happily received opportunities to dance many soloist and even a few principal roles, including Bianca in “Taming of the Shrew,” and the female principal in George Balanchine’s “Tarantella.” Heather enjoyed the work, the people, and the city, but definitely not the winters. In 2009, she accepted a position in warmer climes first at Ballet San Jose and then later in Phoenix, at Ballet Arizona. In April 2012, Heather moved to Utah, choosing to transition from her performing career to new adventures in other interests. Pilates, both personal practice and teaching, is at the top of that list. She looks forward to helping others discover the health, the self-esteem, and the beauty that Pilates can bring to their lives. Other passions include family and spirituality, while her experiences in Chicago and California turned her into an avid self proclaimed “foodie.”|
